This same Good News that came to you is going out all over the world. It is bearing fruit everywhere by changing lives, just as it changed your lives from the day you first heard and understood the truth about God’s wonderful grace. – Colossians 1:6

Don’t Follow Your Heart

Recently I learned:

Don’t follow your head.
Or your heart.  It doesn’t know any better.
Follow God.  It’s ok to wait and listen.  If you’re not sure, keep waiting.  Don’t take matters into your own hands because it wouldn’t turn out as nice/pleasing as you hoped.
You think you know? You don’t.
Oh, your heart is racing and telling you yes? Please ask it to simmer down.
Pray, fast and wait. Be patient. Don’t move. Just STOP.
In this day and age, stopping is tough.  We’re always on the go.  Always refreshing feeds.  Is stopping even a thing?
It may not longer be a thing but it’s necessary.
Step back, stop and wait.
Don’t cross that road.
You’ll only end up at a dead end. And it may be awfully painful.
So I lovingly advice you tonight to, STOP. Don’t follow your heart.
Whatever this may mean to you.. be blessed <3

Be still in the presence of the LORD, and wait patiently for him to act. Don’t worry about evil people who prosper or fret about their wicked schemes. (‭Psalms‬ ‭37‬:‭7‬ NLT)
He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire. He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along. (‭Psalms‬ ‭40‬:‭2‬ NLT)
But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. (Isaiah 40:31)
