This same Good News that came to you is going out all over the world. It is bearing fruit everywhere by changing lives, just as it changed your lives from the day you first heard and understood the truth about God’s wonderful grace. – Colossians 1:6

STORY TIME: Ade Dancers Testimony

Story Time!!!!!

God works miracles even while we may be far from him.

I’m going to try and get to the point as quickly as I can, let’s see.

Alright, so boom!

Some of you know that I dance, and if you don’t know, now you know.
Last year, I created a dance group called the Ade Dancers (check us out on IG!) and there are 8 of us. We’re all girls and I love them dearly.. They’re like my sisters.

Anyway, we perform at shows, events and all that fun stuff- this past Thursday we had a huge performance at John Jay College – my cousin’s ASA invited us to perform. Along with blogging, I take performing very seriously. When it’s show time, it’s show time! We practiced SO much, put in SO MANY HOURS.. I even missed a couple classes lol.
Basically, we put in a lot of work because we wanted to slaaaay. We even got some of our friends – the A.V.O Boyz – to dance with us. (Check them out on IG too!! They pop severely.)

So now, it’s the day of the show and I’m a little nervous because I always think we could use more time.

The devil started laying out his plots..

1) One of our girls got into a car accident that morning and could no longer perform with us – thank God she’s alright!!
2) Another one of our girls didn’t have a top to wear (the person that was supposed to deliver it couldn’t make it anymore)

About 20 minutes before we were supposed to go on stage, another dancer got a serious foot cramp, and one of our male dancers still wasn’t there!! We said enough is enough and held hands to pray. Boy does God work!!!
There’s so much power in faithfully joining hands together and saying, Jesus, take the wheel. Please let Kay’s foot stop cramping and may Emmanuel make it on time!!

Thankfully my cousin was running the show and kindly allowed 5 performers to go on before us.

Anyway..

We were backstage, Kaylla jumped up and said she was going to go on stage because her cramp went down, and Emmanuel made it!!!
Emmanuel made it guys…
Emmanuel, popped up backstage as soon as they called our names. Wow.

They said “Ade Dancers” and Emmanuel actually arrived!!! For the most important part of the performance that was just about to flop.
That’s when I said, God works.
God is good.
God will come through, even at the final hour.

Stress almost forced me to give up but I couldn’t because I knew we worked too hard to be embarrassed.

And let me tell you, we slayed 10x more that I could ever imagine.
We were told time and time again that our energy was out the roof and we were the best performance.

All because of a simple prayer.

What the devil tried to turn into a disaster, God came through and was like nahhh, this is my show. These are my children.

So God, I say thank you. I never really thought you’d be glorified through the Ade Dancers, but you were. You took the wheel and now we can all testify that prayer works.

God is not dead. God is all we need.

You may think it’s over, but let me tell you, it isn’t.

You serve a living God.

My year verse:

For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland. – Isaiah 43:19
