Where Is Your Loyal-Team?
I’ve been thinking – I know right.. nothing new.
However, my most recent thoughts have been extremely heartfelt and thankful.
This serves as an appreciation post – appreciating Abba. This King of Glory, ugh, I’m so in love.
You see, and that’s what gets me; the fact that I’ve become infatuated with God. Like, yo. This wasn’t my lifestyle. Those that knew me before 2014 know this very well.
Some time last year I published a post titled “I Am A Christian Girl Now” basically testifying of the changes I noticed in my life.
Anyway, I digress:
Today, I’m thanking God for true friendships.
I thank God for faithful friends man.. my sisters and brothers in Christ!
Those friends that reflect Christ on earth and constantly remind you why you’re taking the path less traveled.
I thank God for the sisters in Christ that have been placed in my life.
2 years ago, I literally prayed for sisters in Christ. I actually prayed, and I have received exceedingly and abundantly beyond all that I could as or think – and listen, I’m still receiving.
I am blessed beyond measure so I will testify.
It’s one thing to serve God and love God but it’s a whole new ball game when you throw a human support system in there.
You know why this is such a testimony for me?
I had been afraid. Nearly petrified.
Not too long ago, I was extremely terrified to let go of unedifying friendships. I’m all about purpose and I strongly believe that anyone who isn’t drawing you closer to Christ and your purpose, truly doesn’t deserve the title “friend” or “best..”. Y’all can be “best acquaintances” but I warn you to be cautious about who you allow into your life.
As iron sharpens iron,
so a friend sharpens a friend. – Proverbs 27:17
Anyway, I prayed. I knew something was off. As soon as I allowed God to be God; the flood gates literally opened.
So look around you;
Who’s on your team?
Who can you trust to give you solid and unbiased advice?
Who can you confide in when your world is shaken and it’s extremely hard to pray?
If you’ve been searching for a sound friend/friend group; pray.
Talk to God. He hears you. Open your mouth. No prayer is too small.
Don’t go through seasons alone. God placed you on earth with other human beings for a reason; use it to your advantage.
Shout out to my sisters! Thank you.
9 Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. 10 If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble. 11 Likewise, two people lying close together can keep each other warm. But how can one be warm alone? 12 A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken. – Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
The godly give good advice to their friends;[a]
the wicked lead them astray. – Proverbs 12:26
Do not be misled: “Bad company corrupts good character.” – 1 Corinthians 15:33
