This same Good News that came to you is going out all over the world. It is bearing fruit everywhere by changing lives, just as it changed your lives from the day you first heard and understood the truth about God’s wonderful grace. – Colossians 1:6

Your Purpose is Precious

I’ve been caught up in “doing.”

I confess that I’ve been distracted…

Dependent on immature faith & nearly overtaken by fear.

On that day, nothing else will mater.

It’ll just be me & you.

No convention. No retreat. No program.

Just us.

How have I lived to honor and serve you?

Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I could gain Christ – Philippians 3:8

Distractions are pricey and your purpose is far too precious.

Generations to come depend on your purpose.

God needs for you to complete this mission.

Nothing else will matter.

Are you connected to Him at all times?

He needs you to listen to Him because as confused as you and I claim to be about God’s will, He’s speaking, we just aren’t listening.

so stop being lazy & spend some time in God’s presence (literally, sit in solitude for an hour with a journal and gentle worship music)

Your purpose is far too precious for you to be distracted.

“Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing. – John 15:5

Wondering why your plans aren’t working out?

Well, God will shut doors that aren’t meant to be open,

He’ll also open doors that no man can close; for the sake of you purpose.

Your purpose is so unique that the world doesn’t have to understand it just yet.

They’re not meant to comprehend where God is taking you

& you shouldn’t try to justify it by the worlds standards.

We’re talking about a divine purpose here…

It’s far too precious.

But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. – 1 Corinthians 2:9

In practice:

  1. Quiet time = major key
  2. Watch sermons by Pastors/Preachers you trust (I always recommend Toure Roberts & Sarah Jakes of One Church LA; search on YouTube)
  3. Bible study = major key. We must get into the text and allow God’s promises to rest in our hearts
  4. Get (or stay) connected! To a youth group, christian friend group, an accountability partner.

Have a blessed week ahead.
