This same Good News that came to you is going out all over the world. It is bearing fruit everywhere by changing lives, just as it changed your lives from the day you first heard and understood the truth about God’s wonderful grace. – Colossians 1:6

Kingdom Friendships

God has carefully placed people in your life. We serve a God of purpose and I believe everything happens for a reason. We don’t operate on chance.

Good or bad, God is fully aware of your situation and He allows us to be stretched so that we might grow.

Let me also remind you that the enemy/devil comes to steal (your joy)*, kill (your potential)* and destroy (your friendships)*. The enemy works round the clock to ensure that the body of Christ isn’t united. Satan works against your peace so do not be surprised when the heat is turned up a notch. Do you feel the pressure? Are your most valuable friendships under attack? Did you find out that he said, she said, you said, we said because you said, she said to him? Right, it doesn’t make sense. It never makes sense.

Kingdom friendships are a threat to the enemy.

Don’t sit back. Fight for what’s yours. God has already blessed you, don’t allow it to slip away.

A Kingdom Friendship is ordained by God. How can you tell? Just as you can weed out false prophets based on their fruit, the same applies to friendship.

Kingdom friends edify your mind and spirit.

Kingdom friends encourage your growth.

Kingdom friends pray for you and with you.

Kingdom friends challenge you.

Kingdom friends propel your success.

Kingdom friends partner with you and God to ensure your mission is fulfilled.

Kingdom friends should be cherished. You should fight for those that matter. Yes, conflicts may arise, it’s part of life. Tribulation encourages growth. You CAN come out stronger than ever before. Allow God to work in your friendship.

There was a time when I’d pray to God daily asking Him to bless me with sisters-in-Christ (I probably have a blog post about that somewhere). I prayed and in due time I was blessed.

Then I stopped praying, “because I’d be blessed.”

I secured my bag forgetting the enemy wants to snatch my bag.

Don’t stop praying!

When you receive your blessing, pray that God will sustain it.

It’s like getting married, making a vow and allowing the marriage to run itself. This car needs a driver. It steers off the road if you hit cruise control. It just doesn’t work like that.

Protect your friendships. Invite God in through a simple prayer. Pray with each other. Fight your fears, together. Break chains, together. Don’t allow the enemy to flood your mind with doubts/fears. Hold on to your Kingdom friends until God says otherwise.

Dear brothers and sisters,[a] when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing. – James 1:2-4

Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. 10 If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble. 11 Likewise, two people lying close together can keep each other warm. But how can one be warm alone? 12 A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken. – Ecclesiastes 4:4-12

10 The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life. – John 10:10
