This same Good News that came to you is going out all over the world. It is bearing fruit everywhere by changing lives, just as it changed your lives from the day you first heard and understood the truth about God’s wonderful grace. – Colossians 1:6

About the Author

Simbi Akanni is a Christian blogger who has a burning desire to inspire the youth and propel this generation.  Born in New York City but raised in Lagos, Nigeria, Simbi currently schools in New York where she studies Entrepreneurship Management and Communications.  When Simbi is not blogging, she’s dancing in the studio, editing YouTube videos or engaging in mindful conversations with her friends.

What is Sim Spiritually Inspired ?

Sim Spiritually Inspired is an online platform where millennia inspire one another and are inspired by the Holy Spirit.  In July, 2014, God placed it in Simbi’s heart to start blogging and sharing her stories and testimonies.  It started off as a “secret” wordpress site where she’d share spiritually inspired thoughts and life lessons hoping no one ever saw it.  Fortunately, God had a different plan; strangers found the blog and actually liked it.  In short, Sim Spiritually Inspired is a gift from God, to Simbi and to this generation.

When did you start your blogging /vlogging ?

I uploaded my first blog post, titled “Thoughts on Fear“, on July 19th 2014.  Then, in August 2015, I posted my first vlog/video. That one’s called “Christian Youth Problems Q&A“.

What was your motivation for Sim spiritually inspired ?

My testimony was and still is my motivation. Also, the love I have for young people like myself, motivates me. Before Sim Spiritually Inspired, I would always reflect in my iPhone notes on challenges and experiences I’d been going through. Then, after some time, I’d read over my reflections and I realized how powerful my experiences were.  I also realized that my testimonies are meant to be shared, because I’m probably not the only one going through any given situation.  Therefore, I shared and I continue to share.
